Here are some pictures taken last Sunday when the kids were visiting. Since Hector's hair had been "shedding", he wanted to get rid of it all, and we thought it would be a neat thing to do with Sheila and Nicolas.

Claire & Hector went up to Las Vegas as Hector had a 'get out of jail free' pass after his round of chemo. It was a welcome treat to be in his own bed!
Now (Saturday) they are back in the Southland with George, getting ready for round 2.
Mary Jo & Vern are with Sheila and Nic in SB, taking care of the house/pets/school games (kudos to you two!)

Cindy and I have been thinking of you guys every day.
I'm not real sure you realize how important you are to us. 30 years ago, I thought you were about the sharpest dude on the block. The closer we became, the more I understood you as a whole person, rather than just a symbol to look up to and as we became friends, I came to love you like a brother. Every time you were promoted and every time I saw your name in the paper, I’d nearly bust with pride….
You and Claire have always been 'the perfect couple' to us and we've taken great joy in hearing about your successes and happiness together. It’s wonderful to see that Sheila Marie and Nicholas have grown to be as beautiful and handsome as their parents and we know they must be just as good and kind too. You both must be very proud of them.
You're going to get through this buddy. I haven’t got the slightest doubt! You’ve always been a tough guy and with so many people giving you their hope and prayers, this stupid disease hasn’t got a chance. Besides, you're too damn ornery to let it beat you.
Though we’ve wanted to call, we haven’t because I don’t want to bother you when I know half the country is trying to talk to you… Please be confident that you are in our hearts every moment of the day. We love you both and we expect to see you both as soon as you get your butt up and around.
